My thoughts:

The Greatest Showman meets Star Wars!

Have you ever read a book and felt a little guilty because you read it in a day? 

Well, that was me with this book. It just had me wanting more and more, and when I got to the end… well, you could imagine my reaction when I read that cliffhanger!😧

Talie was an awesome heroine; her stubborn and sometimes serious courage fit perfectly with Renner’s quick wit and playful manner, though he could be serious when needed to be. 

I ended up laughing a lot at their banter and behaviors. Their romance was sweet, if not a little frustrating… lol, you’ll see what I mean when you read it.😉 On the other hand the kissing, for me, felt too quick in the beginning?? But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy those sweet moments!😍 They were written with the right amount of warmth! 

The circus in space idea is awesome! Never heard of that before! When I heard this was kind of like the Greatest Showman, I knew I had to read it. Also, I love that Talie performs on the trapeze! 

I could go on and on about this book, but this is supposed to be a summary of my thoughts and not me rambling on.😁

Sexual Content: 

Quite a few kisses (ranging from detailed, mild and very quick kisses), a cheek kiss, temple kiss, two palm kisses, and wanting to kiss and touch. Touches, embraces, and nuzzling. Pretending to be in love. Attraction, Noticing (muscles and curves), and Smelling. Looking at lips (mildly detailed). Thinking about and wanting to kiss. Flirting, teasing, blushes, and winks. There is a moment where they are sparring each other, and Talie trips Renner; he falls on top of her(mildly detailed), he’s shirtless at the time and she had only a bra and tights on. Renner takes off his shirt in front of Talie. Some teasing comments from Renner that Talie had once been in his bed (she was not well at the time, not sexual) and sharing a bed because there was only one bed in the room (They found out that there was another hidden bed, and did not share a bed). Another guy flirts with Talie. Talie sees Renner in his undershorts(mildly detailed). Renner has a thought about kissing a man on the cheek to get his help(he was on pain meds). Trying not to fall in love, falling in love, jealousy and the feelings of all that. 

Profanity:

No actual cursing, just fictional made up curses.

Violence:

Fighting and getting attacked. Threats from Renner, that he’ll kill or kidnap her if she doesn’t hide him. Being tied up and held at gunpoint or by a knife. Mentions of someone assassinating a man, killing, death, and very small mentions of human trafficking.

I really enjoyed this book! I hope to continue the rest of the series, and get my hands on book 2!
